【基本信息】
香茅油又称香草油或雄刈萱油。由香茅的全草经蒸汽蒸馏而得。淡黄色液体。有浓郁的山椒香气。主要成分是香茅醛、香叶醇和香茅醇。用于提取香茅醛，供合成羟基香茅醛、香叶醇和薄荷脑。也可用作杀虫剂、驱蚊药和皂用香料。
【质量指标】
色状：淡黄色至黄色清澈液体。
香气：特征性的，类似香茅醛的香气。
相对密度（20/20℃）：0.880～0.895。
折光指数（20℃）：1.4660～1.4730。
旋光度（20℃）：-5°～0°。
溶解度（20℃）：1体积试样混溶于3体积80%（V/V）乙醇中，呈澄清溶液。
含量（气相色谱法）：香茅醛35-40%，香茅醇20-25%，香叶醇15-20%。
【用 途】
1、日化护理：可直接用于洗衣皂、洗涤剂、地蜡、清洁剂、驱蚊剂、杀虫剂等；可用作药用油，具有消炎、消肿、止痛袪湿、增香止痒、杀菌、驱蚊等作用。
2、日化调香：作为香料用于调配玫瑰型等花香型香精。可用作提取香茅醛、香茅醇、香叶醇
